Clowns under the age of 19 who successfully complete their Clown Academy training and have performed for three years under professional supervision are invited to join our ensemble of ClownInterns. Those over the age of 19 are invited to join ClownsMD™. These two groups are our elite corps of highly skilled therapeutic clowns.
Through hundreds of hours of training and compassionate interaction with patients, our ClownInterns and ClownMDs™ are experts in creating joyful moments with people of all abilities and ages.
Though not medical professionals, our ClownInterns and ClownMDs™ have proven that they are capable of working medical miracles with a bit of greasepaint and a lot of heart. They have learned to reach out with warmth and humor to those who are isolated, ill, and in pain, filling them with laughter and a renewed sense of hope.
